WELCOMING YOU HOME
AKJOY Church was founded in 2001 as Joy Christian Center by Pastors Marlan and Ruth Schoenleben, and is currently led by Pastors Caleb and Shayna Bialik. What began as a small group meeting at the local YMCA is now a warm, welcoming group of believers whose mission is to know God and to make Him known. It is our desire to strengthen individuals and families and equip parents to be the spiritual heads of their homes. You can read more about AKJoy by clicking over to our About Us page.
NOTE: We are changing locations in March 2020.
Join us at our new location Ptarmigan Elementary 888 Edward Street beginning March 8th
ABOUT OUR CHURCH
AKJOY is currently located at 4335 Laurel Street in Anchorage, AK, but will be changing locations and will be meeting at Ptarmigan Elementary. We are affiliated with the Assemblies of God; however, everyone is welcome at Joy regardless of background or affiliation. Our mission is to Know God and Make Him Known. You can find a more in depth statement of our beliefs here.
The teenage years are crucial time for young people. We want to help them navigate through these years and come out the other side with a faith that is strong, and a passion for God that propels them into living a vibrant Christian life.
It is our desire for our kids to know God, to continue loving Him and walking with Him all their lives, and to learn how to make Him known to others. It's time to begin our Joy KIDS Club once again. Kids will learn social, relational, leadership, and practical skills while earning badges. Join the fun Sundays at 10:30 AM.
