FAMILY NIGHT
Our lives are crazy busy. It's way too easy to allow the stuff of life to take over and crowd out family time. We encourage families to go against the flow and make a conscious decision to set aside a time at least once a month to have a family night. Time to have a meal together, play together, create together, and learn together as a family. The rewards will amaze you! Each month we will post a recipe, a game/activity, a craft, a devotional, and a project of some sort to give you some ideas to get your started on your new adventure. Post pics of your family night on Facebook and tag AKJOY Church. We'd love to share your adventures!

July's Devotional
Teacher and Lord
Key Verse:John 13:13 NIRV “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord.’ You are right. That is what I am.”
Key Point:Jesus’ disciples call Him Teacher and Lord. When we learn about Jesus or from Him, He is our Teacher. When we choose to follow Him and make Him the most important one in our life, He is our Lord.

July's Science Project
This month we're doing a fun experiment with baking soda and vinegar. For this experiment you will need several narrow glasses, glass vases or test tubes, baking soda, food coloring, water, vinegar, and dish soap.
Hang onto your hats because this is a fun, colorful, very messy activity. Click here to get the directions.
